I liked everything about the Riviera hotel on Robson. It has a true personality and character. Staying at the Riviera you get to experience the heart and soul of Vancouver. The rooms are beautifully designed, with incredible views across the city, and to the mountains. Not to be missed when staying in this magnificent city. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and professional. Eliska and Sharmine at the front desk were very kind and professional, as was everyone else from there. They gave excellent guidance to exploring the city.

Gave us a free upgraded room on the 7th floor, all seemed great until the following day when my neck was covered in bed bug bites, literally found bed bugs in my clothes upon returning home

Location was the main reason I chose this hotel. However we were there for just 1 night and it was close to good restaurants and attractions. Overall a good place to stay if you are not planning to stay longer. The staff was helpful. Let us check in half an hour early then our check in time.

I got my 200 dollar cash deposit back immediately after the night clerk had said it would take 2 - 5 days, I'm not really sure why they charge 200 dollars if you have a debit card and then ask for a 10 dollar fee on that. ? for two people it was 50 bucks a piece, you can't beat that price. If you're going to stay longer than one night you should clean and bring your own bath towels. The staff were nice enough. It's cheaper to park on the street, we were told the parking lot cost 30 bucks, but there's meter parking right in front of the hotel so that was cool. Now knowing what to expect, I'd stay there again but I'd inspect the room and shower assigned before I .took it if possible. Ayush was the desk clerk that checked us in he was cordial I'd used Expedia and Booking .com and inadvertently cancelled the wrong reservation we worked that out Ok. We didn't have a credit card for the 100 dollars deposit so they will take a debit card, but if you use the debit card they charge 200 $ plus a 10 dollar non-returnable fee. Ayush had said that it took 2 - 5 days to get the deposit back, but actually we got it right back when we checked out. Minus the 10 dollar mystery fee? which I mentioned earlier. The room was huge with two beds. The sheets were clean and the beds was comfortable, I didn't dare look at the mattress so I can't say but the beds were at least comfortable.
